Women at Mid-Life: You are IN Your Prime…
--
Women over 40 have been socially brainwashed with a MAJOR lie…
They’re told that, once they hit a certain age, their prime is over and “It only goes downhill from there.”
It would be like telling a nine month old baby “You better enjoy your first three years of life because, once you hit 12, it’s all downhill from there…”
Can you imagine?
And, yet, the world tries to sell women on the idea that their youngest adult selves are the only versions of them that matter, that their ‘glory days’ are between the ages of 20 and 35 and, once 35 hits, so much of their value, desire, and worth diminishes quickly… to the point where there’s actually research that’s been done on how women become ‘invisible’ after the age of 52.
Are you serious?
And, yet, here women in the 40+ range are… doing everything they can to ‘stay young.’ Creams, procedures, fake lashes, contouring, plastic surgery, and everything in between… and there’s nothing wrong with that when the women doing it are doing it for THEMSELVES (and not to compete or pretend to be younger than they are).
There’s nothing wrong with that when a woman says “I feel sexier with work done” because SHE feels sexier with those adjustments. Fantastic!
But, when a woman does this because of a societal pressure to stay young, when she’s grasping for every possible lotion, potion, and surgical procedure that promises to keep her from ‘getting old’, what message is she buying into about her value as a woman?
That’s right- that, with every year that passes, she’s going down in value and not up.
And, the other day I watched this >>VIDEO<< that captured the truth about women over 40 so powerfully and so beautifully that I had to watch the video three times to bask in the power of it… and here’s what the actress in the video stated so clearly:
And I’m not in my late twenties or late thirties but I am absolutely in my prime and I’m not going to waste it.
Let’s resay that line for the people in the back:
And I’m not in my late twenties or late thirties but I am ABSOLUTELY…
