If They Don’t Value You, Walk Away…

Are you valued?

I don’t know that we ask that question enough so let’s break it down to more specific questions:

  • Do the people in your life value you?
  • Do the relationships that you’ve cultivated reflect a reciprocal connection where you feel valued?
  • Is the work you do in the work valued?

Here’s the most important question:

  • Do you value YOU?

Because people will learn how to treat you based on how you treat you… and that isn’t only what you say and do to yourself. It’s also the energy you project, the vibe you emit and how you show up in the world. People can feel it even if you never say it.

So… If you find yourself repeating patterns where you’re undervalued, underappreciated, ignored and treated as if you’re replaceable, it’s time to walk away.

No questioning, no debating, no asking why, no doing more to ‘make’ that person value you.

The second you have to defend or debate your worth, you’ve already lost it.

No… When ‘they’ show you that, in their eyes, you aren’t worth much, do the one thing that will clearly express what you KNOW your worth to be: walk away.

It may hurt once but better to hurt once than to be resentful for a lifetime…
